Symantec Hears the Siren Song of Linux

Symantec is developing plans for securing Linux on the desktop, according to what its CEO John Thompson told an UBS confab, and once that's in some kind of shape, the company will consider moving some or all of people over to desktop Linux. He said it was good enough for him, but might not be appropriate for everybody. Red Hat and Novell, which also participated in the event, claimed there are desktop pilots "all over the place," but UBS itself isn't interested.
