There is a disturbing pattern of rhetoric and behavior from the Linux community that is frighteningly similar to that of muslim terrorist extremists. Using words such as hate and comparing SCO to an odius and dranged rodent fosters the very sentiments and emotions that lead misguided, criminally prone programmers to write and launch vicious viruses aimed at leveling attacks on their perceived enemies.

How are such actions and diatribes any different than the hate so regularly preached by extremist muslim leaders. These distributors of hate sit back and claim innocence while inciting their young and impressionable followers to commit atrocities.

Now before you whip out your keyboard to vilify me for making such a comparison, let me say that I do not believe that virus writers attacking SCO or Microsoft are even in the same league with murderous terrorists. I do believe however that they should both burn in Hades. Perhaps just on different levels.

The comparison may be cruel but any objective observer cannot honestly say the similarities in pattern have no correlation. If Mr. Torvalds and other leaders in the Linux community do not wish to be compared in such a way, perhaps they should tone down the rhetoric and speak out more loudly against the criminal actions of their followers.
