EC to Ponder Oracle-PeopleSoft Merger

The European Commission says it could take four months for it to turn over the notion of Oracle acquiring PeopleSoft in a hostile bid. Its investigation, which should delight the unwooable PeopleSoft, began Monday. The Justice Department isn’t supposed to have an opinion now until maybe January last anyone heard. Meanwhile, PeopleSoft, hoping to stink like a skunk to Oracle, extended its ever-so-cute customer refund program until the end of the year. That’s where it promises to refund purchases double. triple or five times over if Oracle buys the joint whereby costing Oracle scads more money if it dares pursue the acquisition.
